Welcome to Messy Church

Welcome, we know how important it is for families to find a place where they can spend quality time together, have fun, and feel part of a loving community. That’s exactly what we’re all about!

Every session at Messy Church is filled with joy, creativity, and a sense of togetherness. From crafting colourful masterpieces to sharing interactive stories, we make sure there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And the best part? You get to experience it all alongside your children. It’s a special time to connect, laugh, and explore faith in a way that’s relaxed, welcoming, and – well – a little bit messy!

Each month, we transform our space into a creative hub, where kids and parents dive into a variety of hands-on activities. The crafts we do aren’t just about being creative – they’re designed to help children (and grown-ups!) learn about the Bible and the love of God in a way that’s engaging and meaningful. And don’t worry if you’re not the most “crafty” parent – it’s about having fun together, not perfection!

But Messy Church isn’t just about crafts. We sing, we play, and we tell stories in a way that gets everyone involved. Whether your children are painting, building, or acting out a story, we make sure every session is filled with new experiences and lots of laughter.

One of the things we’re most proud of is our welcoming and inclusive environment. Whether it’s your first time at Messy Church or you’ve been coming for years, you’ll always feel part of the family. We understand that every child is different, and we work hard to ensure our sessions are accessible and enjoyable for all, including children with additional needs.

Our team is here to help, and we love hearing from parents if there’s anything we can do to make the experience even better for your family. If your child has any dietary needs or sensory preferences, just let us know – we’re happy to accommodate and make sure everyone feels comfortable and included.

While we certainly have a lot of fun, Messy Church is about more than just play. It’s about building a strong, supportive community where families can grow together in faith. Each session is rooted in stories and lessons that help us all learn more about God’s love – and we do it in a way that’s enjoyable for kids and parents alike.

As we look forward to our next session, we want to take a moment to thank every family that’s made Messy Church such a special place. Your enthusiasm, laughter, and creativity are what make it all possible, and we’re so excited to continue sharing these moments with you.

If you haven’t joined us yet, we’d love to see you at our next session. It’s always open, it’s always fun, and it’s always messy – in the best possible way! Remember to check our event page on the website( www.lovemessychurch.co.uk/events/list )for details of the next messy session, starting at 10am. Come ready to laugh, create, and connect with your family and the community.

Paul’s Big Surprise!

At this month’s Messy Church, we explored the powerful story of Saul’s life-changing encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. The children acted out the story, made colourful glasses, crafted fruit faces, and even tried drawing while blindfolded!

We learned that God can open our eyes and change our hearts, just like He did for Saul. It was a joyful session full of creativity, faith, and fun—and we can’t wait to see you at the next one!
